2026 Term Dates

Term 1: 27 January (Students start 28 Jan) to 2 April
Term 2: 20 April to 26 June
Term 3: 13 July to 18 September
Term 4: 5 October to 18 December

Students in Prep will attend school four days per week until the end of February, with Wednesdays off to allow for individual assessments. 

2026 Curriculum Days (Student Free)

Curriculum Day 1: Tuesday 28th January Teachers return to school Curriculum Day

Curriculum Day 2: Wednesday 29th January – Student Free Curriculum Day

Curriculum Day 3: Friday 5 June (King's Birthday long weekend) - Student Free Day

Curriculum Day 4: Friday 16 October  -Student Free Day

Each year schools receive four student-free days.  These days are used for professional development, school planning and administration, curriculum development, and student assessment and reporting.

The first day of Term 1 each year is a student-free day in all government schools to allow for appropriate planning to take place for the arrival of students.

School councils have the flexibility to schedule the remaining three student-free days each year to meet local needs.
